Star & Ron

The first time I met with Star, the blushing bride, the first thing she said about what she wanted her floral arrangements to look like they were freshly picked from the garden. I thought that was very cute and different, as many bride's want their arrangements to look more modern and flawless. The natural look in the flowers is beauty in itself.

Star & Ron were referred to me by clients of mine, Wendy & Marcus. Star and Ron were wed at the the beautiful House of Worship of The Church of Christ in the local of North Hollywood, followed by the reception at a Vineyard out in the sizzling area of Sylmar, CA.

Their colors were purple and hot pink with splashes of green. The green gave it more of a natural look. I loved everything about their wedding. Everything was so cute and the bride did a lot of DIY to add uniqueness to their wedding.

Thank you to Star & Ron for choosing BFD! Wishing you the best in life!

Lorelai.

Again, I have been just way too busy to even get on the computer and when I do it's pretty much to check my emails! EMAILS!EMAILS!

For those that truly know me, you know that I love to talk. I promised myself when my niece was born, I wouldn't be one of those AUNTIES who brings pictures and brags. Well... I failed. I am one of those Aunties! And I admit and I love it! =)

One of my top subjects to talk about, is my little baby niece Lorelai. She is the cutest baby I have ever met. I see a lot of my sister and I in her, not just her features, but also her evolving attitude. haha... She's just so lovely. Everytime I get to spend time with her, I forget about everything! I often feel guilty when I let a whole week pass by and I don't get to see her. Babies grow soo fast and every minute is valuable. I've always loved kids, especially babies, but Lorelai's so different, because she's my sisters, I almost feel entitled to say she's just like mine!
She's a beautiful little girl and I can't wait to hear her start talking and take her first steps!

Its been awhile...

Another busy year. Another busy me. Another neglected blog. =/

So I'm here to redeem myself. I finally got the chance to just hang out in front of my MAC desktop! Oh how I've missed sitting in front of the computer, working on Bloomeria,  and listening to music on Pandora. I feel sane at least for these couple of hours.

I'm going on my 5th month at my job. A total blessing I received the last month of 2009. I prayed forever for a job and with God's mercy I got one. I've been  juggling Bloomeria and my new career amongst other things. I can't admit and I don't know if I ever could... that it hasn't been easy. It's been tough! Real tough. But I've got a great support system. My work schedule helps a little. And my sanity hasn't been totally fried.

I've been working really hard and sometimes I stop and ask myself, why? WHY? It may be a whole lot of unnecessary stress at times, but at the end just seeing what I've accomplished, makes it all soooo worth it...

Besides working like a nut! On December 3rd 2009, my life changed a whole lot with my niece being born... little Ms. Lorelai Kaye. I love her with all my heart. I never thought I could love someone I barely know and who has only been alive for 4 months now... until I met my baby niece. Whenever I'm beat about something... I always think about her and feel normal again because I know I have her to look forward to. She's truly a bundle of joy and she's changed our lives a whole lot. I can't wait until her life unfolds and I get to be in the front row to love, support and cheer her on!

As for my new job. I'd rather not go into it too much, but all I really know is that I'm Thankful that I have a job. Bottom line. It's not the easiest job, it's not always fun, but it's a job! And I'm happy I have one and I just pray I can keep it until bigger and better opportunities come knocking my way...

A lot have asked me how I can juggle a full time job and Bloomeria. It's simple... just don't think about it. haha... well... i love what I do in both fields. Would I love to just focus on Bloomeria? Definitely. Especially now that I am working for someone else, it inspires me to focus more on building Bloomeria to it's best, so the stability is there and I can hopefully 110% focus on it. For now my livelihood involves both and I'm surviving.

Since 2010 came in, Bloomeria has Digi&JoJo, Rochelle&Erman and Stacie&Ronnie to THANK. Beautiful weddings indeed. This year I feel a whole lot more confident in my work and can say I've improved a lot!!! I have more weddings booked for the remaining of the year and I can't wait until it all comes together! I love seeing the accomplishment at the end... it's what keeps me going.

Pictures Coming soon! Blogging on my weddings... coming soon!!!!
