Green and Gray

Here are a few of the fabulous photos from another BFD wedding. This wedding took place at the Westin South Coast in the lovely city of Costa Mesa.

It was very traditional yet modern Catholic wedding. Centerpieces were silver manzanita trees with hanging tea candles, a lot of hydrangeas and cymbidium orchids.

Congratulations to the happy couple! Thank you so much for choosing BFD!

Hopefully we can come back to this post and share more photos from the lovely event! =)

Glenn & Maria's Purple Glam Wedding!

I have known Glenn, the Groom since we worked at the Glendale Galleria GAP (220!) store together back in the early 2000's. We became very close friends and made tons of crazy memories! Time of course came into place and our lives went into different directions, but Glenn has always been someone I will always be fond of. He was always a great friend to anyone and everyone! We were also the BEST cashiers at the GAP! hahaha...

It was nice to know that he found the LOVE of his life in Maria. I wish you both the very best, especially now with your journey together and your added little one Caitlyn.

The couple were wed at their local St. Dominic Catholic Church in Los Angeles (Eagle Rock), CA. The beautiful and glamorous reception followed at the Universal Sheraton right next to Universal Studios! We were were fortunate enough to be invited as guest to the reception and had a great time celebrating with the couple and seeing familiar faces!

All Bouquets and Boutonnieres were done by Bloomeria~Floral Design and made sure was arranged with extra love!

Glenn & Maria THANK YOU for choosing BFD!!!!

Summer Wedding....

We absolutely loved working with Shanae, one of the sweetest Bride's we have met! Her photo with the bouquet was featured in one of our Bridal Shows at the David's Bridal in Ontario, CA (Future blog post on that event, coming soon).

The Bride and Groom were wed at the House of Worship of the Church of Christ/Iglesia Ni Cristo in the Local of Montclair and later gathered their family and loved ones in a nearby town for a beautiful reception. It was a hot summer day, but everything came out beautiful!

Flower used: Calla Lilly's , Lisanthias, Mums, Daisies, Roses and Stock.

..:::Jimmy & Kathy::..

I totally fell in love with Jimmy & Kathy! Two of the most nicest people I've ever met!

They were wed at the beautiful and modern SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. This is a great venue! One of  my own personal picks for my special day as well. They have a great private area for the bride and groom to prepare and a great place to have a nice ceremony right in the heart of the hotel. The ceremony area is secluded from what's going on around or inside the hotel itself. You also don't hear or see all the LA traffic, since it is outdoors and located in a very popular street in Beverly Hills.

Jimmy, the Groom got in contact with me through his friend who was doing coordinating for SBE in Gladstones Restaurant of Malibu. It was an honor to have them refer Jimmy to BFD after witnessing our work there previously for a wedding of my clients Lisa and James (blog post to come soon). To hear from Jimmy was great and it took almost a year to plan with Jimmy and Kathy's special day.

Their colors were Gray and Yellow. Most of the florals were of white. LED's were also a huge part of their centerpieces and they also included fabulous lighting in the ballroom itself to compliment the room and the tables.

It was a fabulous day!

I have included some photos on here of course, but if you'd like to see their e-session you can find that here which was featured on Style Me Pretty.

You may also find snapshots of their gorgeous wedding here and here! All photo credits goes out to their great photographer, who you can read about and look at their photos all day! Find them here!

Enjoy! And Thank you and Congrats again to Jimmy & Kathy Ou!

A Bride and Her Bridesmaids

Ison Wedding - 2012

The Bride and good friend of mine Haydee sent me several photos from her wedding today! Although I loved every single photo she shared with me, this one for some reason  stood out the most!

I think there's just something so great about having your best  friends/family part of your wedding, not just to attend but to be right by your side looking just as fabulous! From experience being part of someone's wedding is a huge task but most of all such a great honor!

Many of the Bride's I've worked with desire to  make sure their entourage is looking sharp, not overpowering the Bride & Groom, but stand out in some way. The floral design is always complimentary to their attire and/or style of the event. Some Bride's even get creative, like Haydee did, by adding on the peacock feathers to each bouquet, as those were a primary essential in the designs of the wedding. Some Bride's like to distinguish each bridesmaid with different ribbon for their bouquet holder or even a different flower as well as adding on special pendants on each arrangement.

There are many great ideas out there and many ways you can make your girls feel special and unique. And we can't forget the guys! Yes Grooms can make their Groomsmen and Best Man feel just as special with their boutonnieres. If you ever get stuck on what you can do for your entourage, make sure to ask your designer for some suggestions. Contact BFD and we can give you some great ideas unique to you and your cherished wedding entourage!

More photos and details  to come on Haydee & Jon's Wedding!

From High School to Weddings!

Today's entry is dedicated to two of my wonderful friend's, who just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy today (Valentine's day)!!! Congrats to them and the beautiful family they have been blessed with.

I've known Vince (Groom) since High School. I love him! He's like a brother to me. We've had our tiffs and we've had our crazy laughs (the Patriot - inside joke!). We met in Social Studies during our 6th period. It was a dreadful class and I still remember the very first time we met! And ever since then we've been great friends and I've been fortunate enough to have gotten close not only to him but to his family.

So let's fast forward shall we... Waaaaay after High School, Vince came to my College Graduation from Cal State and told me he wouldn't be staying long because he had a date. I was so excited for him! Months later he told me he was getting married!!! And it happened to be with the one he went on a date with after my graduation party! If there's anyone deserving of LOVE, it's this guy! I was ecstatic for him!

I met Eileen (Bride) and loved her instantly. If anyone could love Vince and make him so happy, I would love them just as much! Eileen and I now work together as she is in the Wedding industry as well. She coordinates Weddings/Events and has a great portfolio. Please check her out at  Enamor Events. Also make sure you read her blog entry on how she only spent $12k on her entire wedding!

Vince & Eileen were wed on a hot summer day at the Monrovia Historical Museum. It was a nice 'backyard' feel type of wedding. Simple yet beautiful. They made everyone feel like family and had great food catered by one of my personal favorites Stonefire Grill. It was a great celebration!

Congrats to the De Las Alas Family!!!

10 years of Flowers & Love!

So i'm blogging like crazy today. I'm trying to make up for all the neglect this blog has received. I've been pretty busy and thankfully God has blessed Bloomeria~Floral Design with a great year (s) ! Thank you to all our past and future client's! Without any of you, BFD would not be where we are today.

This year marks our 10th year in business. 10 years of flowers and love! 10 years of being able to not only assist my own friends on their wedding day, but also those who truly trusted me as their vendor! It has been quite an experience and I can't be anymore thankful. More to come on our 10 years! And all the specials we have in store for all of you...

As a personal  note, I'd like to share someone very special in my life who has made my heart skip a beat every time he tells me he loves me and even when he tells me I'm crazy... lol! No one's ever been as honest with me as this guy has and  no one's loved me so much...

Rolan (aka E) and I got engaged on December 22nd. E got down on one knee at the restaurant he took me to on our very first date on Valentine's Day a million years ago. =) A day we both will never forget and now here we are a million years later planning the biggest day of our lives. I can't imagine my life without him....

Isn't he Handsome? This pic was taken at our friend Olga & Lendel's big day. E was a Groomsmen and I was the Florist!Olga sent it to me and titled the pic: Your Handsome Future Husband! Hellz Yes... I thought. =)

Married in Sonoma, CA

The first time I spoke with the Bride, Diane it was an instant connection. I loved her from the beginning and felt like we've known each other for years. We talked all year via phone calls, text messaging and through email. We actually did not meet until the actual wedding day! I know... Crazy! But Diane was exactly if not more of what I expected when we finally met, she was beautiful in every way.

I loved our experience out in Sonoma, CA, feeling the warm breeze and lovely sunshine that hovered over us as we made sure everything for this day was as the couple expected. The wedding ceremony and reception were both at the Cornerstone Sonoma.

Diane and I continue to keep in touch and not only was I honored to have been part of their special day, but I now have a great new girlfriend!

Diane is now a lovely Mommy and is totally in love with her baby boy and her prince charming!

Thank you again for everything!
